Our standard

We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.

What we've built in

Text in Atkinson Hyperlegible Next, a typeface designed for readers with low vision
Strong colour contrast, and colour never used as the only signal
Full keyboard access with a clearly visible focus outline
A 'skip to content' link on every page
Forms with clear labels, plain-language hints and error messages that say how to fix the problem
Large buttons and choices that are easy to tap
Pages that work when zoomed to 400% and with text spacing increased
No autoplaying video or audio, and reduced motion respected

Known limitations

We check the site with automated tools and keyboard-only testing. Testing with people who use assistive technology is planned. If something doesn't work for you, please let us know.
